SleepScore is a pioneering company dedicated to improving sleep quality through advanced mobile app technology and a science-backed approach. Their offerings include a dynamic sleep-tracking mobile app, a desktop user portal, and B2B white-label solutions. SleepScore strives to empower people to improve their sleep and overall wellness.

Challenge

At SleepScore, there was a big opportunity to enhance their mobile app and grow B2B partnerships. My role was to lead the charge in product management, product design, and B2B project management. I focused on a few key challenges:

Boosting user engagement

Many users weren't fully utilizing the mobile app's features, which limited the overall effectiveness of their experience.

Scalability for partnerships

We needed a more scalable solution for B2B partnerships to grow our business in the sleep health market.

Accelerate product delivery

Internal silos between product, marketing, research, design, and development teams led to communication breakdowns, delayed product releases and impacted growth.

Solution

I joined SleepScore as a cross-functional Product Manager, specializing in user experience, product design, and internal operations. My primary focus was to bring new interactive features and improved functionality to the mobile app and desktop platforms.

By putting the user at the forefront and fostering teamwork across the organization, we were able to revolutionize how users interacted with their sleep solutions. Through continuous improvement, we kept SleepScore at the forefront of better sleep health.

Mobile app features and onboarding enhancements

To increase app downloads and subscription registrations, I worked with cross-functional teams to enhance the messaging for both the main Sleep Score app and its white-label partners.

I was hands-on in redesigning the initial onboarding workflow to create a more engaging experience. This new process helps users understand the app's benefits and collects their preferences to customize their in-app experience.

Chat with a Coach

Integrated live chat and an AI-powered chatbot to provide users with instant, on-demand support.

I created conversational workflows, AI dialogue, and configured the inbox and coach-to-user response workflows. This solution provides users with direct access to a Certified Sleep Professional for personalized guidance, while the AI chatbot suggests relevant articles and resources on demand.

B2B White-Label Platform launch

Recognizing the need for a scalable B2B solution, I spearheaded the launch of a new SaaS white-label partner platform. I detailed the functional requirements for customizable app features, allowing partners to tailor the experience for their customer base. The successful launch of this platform positioned SleepScore as a competitive player in the B2B market, increasing partnerships with companies that wanted to use our technology to support their business goals.

B2C Web Portal redesign

To add value for premium subscribers, I redesigned the SleepScore B2C web portal. The new portal offered an improved user experience with access to sleep goals, recommendations, and tracking history, significantly elevating user satisfaction and engagement.

Streamlining operations

I initiated a thorough operational audit to identify pain points between internal teams. By implementing new workflows and using project management tools like Jira, ZenDesk, and Monday.com, we enhanced communication and streamlined our processes not only for internal teams and partners but also between users and customer support. We were able to release new features more quickly, leading to increased satisfaction for both partners and subscribers.
